Recoating your doors

An easy way to tell if the doors need restraining is to look at the external glass bead located on the bottom door rail – run your finger over the top as a guide to establish how thick the stain covering currently is – if the timber is furry this means the timber is absorbing moisture and needs recoating. This is a good indication as this area receives the most wear and tear. If in direct sunlight your doors need restaining every 18 months.
